NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING NRT logo

ESI Training and Consulting is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO no. 45463). We offer training to employers in the Electrical Supply industry (ESI) and related industries on a fee for service basis. Due to the requirement of many of the units to have “on-the-job assessment of practical skills in a workplace setting” participants must generally have access to their own infrastructure, equipment and worksites.

For this reason, we will usually require all participants to satisfy the following conditions:

  • They must be employed in the Electrical Supply Industry or a related industry, by a company that carries out the type of work that the participant is being trained to undertake
  • They must be physically and mentally capable of undertaking the work, operating any equipment and/or carrying out any activities that the participant is being trained in. They must have already passed any pre-employment medical checks required by their employer
  • They must be covered by their employer’s own insurance policies, including workers compensation and public liability policies appropriate to the work they are carrying out
  • They must hold a White Card (CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
  • They must have completed all relevant safety inductions, and have signed off against the company safe work method statements (SWMS) relating to their work.

Refer to individual course descriptions for specific details for each course.

Our courses are tailored to meet the requirements of the competencies being undertaken, the enterprise-specific requirements of our clients and the existing skills, knowledge, experience and Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) levels of the persons to be trained. A Learner may be required to complete a ‘Skills and Knowledge’ checklist and/or an LLN Assessment to determine if their existing skills, knowledge, experience and LLN are appropriate to undertake the training we offer.
