ESI TRAINING AND CONSULTING

ESI Training and Consulting is a specialised training provider serving the needs of the Electrical Supply industry (ESI) and related industries. We work with employers to efficiently tailor training to their needs, delivering in their workplaces (or another suitable location) and using their equipment.
ESI Training and Consulting is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO no. 45463) and carries out both nationally recognised training (accredited) and Industry specific (non accredited) training.
Our training is tailored to meet the requirements of both the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry (VESI) and Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).
In addition to our training services ESI also offer consulting services.
ESI Training and Consulting is based in Hallam, Victoria and covers all of Victoria. We also have experience operating in Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.

  • WHO IS VESI?

    VESI is a grouping of the 5 Victorian Electrical Supply Companies within Victoria “The Power Companies”; Ausnet Services, Citipower, Jemena, Powercor and United Energy.

  • Is Training Specified?

    VESI Training is specified in a matrix and guideline.

  • WHen must I follow these rules?

    When working for a VESI member (A Power Company) you must follow VESI rules. These rules incorporate ESV requirements.

ESV Training

  • WHO is ESV?

    ESV is Energy Safe Victoria, they are the safety regulator responsible for electrical and gas safety in Victoria, “The Government body”.

  • IS Training SPECIFIED?

    Requirements are set out in legislation and administered by ESV. For specific training requirements it is normally necesary to drill down to your specific area. ESI’s main ESV specified training is “TRAINING APPROVAL STATEMENT “COURSE IN VEGETATION MANAGEMENT”
    Issue Date – January 2013”. This document sets out requirements for vegetation management works around powerlines by non power companies (Councils).

  • WHen must I follow these rules?

    ESV Rules (legislation) must be followed at all times. The “Training Approval Statement” must be followed when trimming trees around powerlines when NOT working for a VESI member (A Power Company).
